Student Orientation Program By Dr. Yandamuri Veerendranath

Neo Geetanjali School had the privilege of hosting a remarkable Student Orientation Program led by the esteemed Dr. Yandamuri Veerendranath, renowned writer, motivational speaker, and expert on personality development. The session, aimed at fostering balanced education and holistic student growth, captivated students and staff alike with its profound insights on education, personality, and success.

Dr. Veerendranath began by highlighting the importance of balanced education—a synergy between academic knowledge and life skills. He emphasized how holistic development shapes well-rounded individuals who can excel in all spheres of life. Through engaging anecdotes and real-life examples, he inspired students to focus not only on academics but also on their emotional and social well-being.

The session delved into personality development and the key traits that define a winner. Dr. Veerendranath’s thought-provoking discussions on focus, self-control, and the difference between knowledge and intelligence helped students understand how to harness their potential to achieve success. He introduced novel concepts like lateral thinking, reflex thinking, and flip thinking—strategies that encourage students to think outside the box and approach challenges with creativity and adaptability.

One of the highlights of the session was Dr. Veerendranath’s discussion on thinking on thoughts, urging students to develop self-control and avoid negative thought patterns that trigger the release of cortisol, a stress hormone. He encouraged students to practice reflex thinking—thinking quickly and effectively under pressure while avoiding hyperactivity and overconfidence, which can lead to rash decisions.

The session also touched upon vital skills like reasoning, memory development, and controlling impulses, which are essential for academic success and personal growth. Dr. Veerendranath emphasized that achieving balance in these areas would enable students to become focused, determined, and successful individuals, capable of making a difference in society.

The orientation concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where Dr. Veerendranath addressed student queries with patience and insight, leaving them inspired to take charge of their lives with renewed motivation and enthusiasm.

Director Mr. Suresh Babu Damera, Principal Mrs. Rama Devi Perni and Vice-Principal Mrs. Supriya Sahoo expressed their token of gratitude to Dr. Yandamuri Veerendranath sir for his invaluable guidance by felicitating and reaffirmed the school’s commitment in promoting balanced and holistic education.
