Little Patriots Shine in Fancy Dress Competition
Neo Geetanjali School was abuzz with excitement as the pre-primary students donned vibrant costumes for the much-awaited Patriotism-themed Fancy Dress Competition. The event, aimed at instilling a sense of national pride and awareness among the young students, turned out to be a grand success, with enthusiastic participation and creative displays.
The school’s auditorium was transformed into a colourful stage where tiny tots, dressed as iconic national figures, freedom fighters, and symbols of India’s rich cultural heritage, proudly showcased their costumes. The event commenced with a warm welcome by the anchors who emphasized the importance of such activities in fostering a sense of patriotism and unity from an early age.
Teachers, and fellow students cheered as each participant walked onto the stage. Among the standout costumes were representations of Mahatma Gandhi, Rani Lakshmibai, Bhagat Singh, Nehru and the Indian Armed Forces.
The judges, including notable educators and community members, had a challenging task in selecting winners due to the high level of creativity and effort demonstrated by all participants. After much deliberation, the winners were announced.
In addition to the competition, the event featured a short cultural program where students performed patriotic songs, dances and ramp walk, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Rama Devi Perni expressed her pride in the students’ efforts and highlighted the role of such activities in the holistic development of children. “It’s encouraging to see our young students embodying the spirit of our nation’s heroes and learning about their sacrifices. This competition is not just about winning but about nurturing a love for our country and its values.”
The event concluded with the National Anthem, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and unity.
