“Krishna! I bow to you, the greatest Guru of the World.”

The vibrant echoes of devotion and spiritual fervor resonated through Neo Geetanjali School as students participated in the inter-house competition, “Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum.” This event was a beautiful homage to Lord Krishna, highlighting his significance as a teacher, friend, and divine being.
The competition comprised three enthralling rounds, each designed to showcase the participants’ understanding and devotion towards Lord Krishna.

Round 1: Saptaswara Bhagavatam

In the first round, titled Saptaswara Bhagavatam, four students from each house participated by chanting slokas and verses from the Bhagavatam. The objective was to recite these sacred texts with accuracy, devotion, and clarity. The spiritual atmosphere was palpable as the participants immersed themselves in the richness of Krishna’s teachings.

Round 2: Sri Krishna Gaanamrutham

The second round, Sri Krishna Gaanamrutham, featured two students from each house who sang devotional songs dedicated to Lord Krishna. Participants chose songs from various movies and private albums, aiming to convey their devotion through melody and expression. The soulful renditions brought the audience to their feet, celebrating the divine essence of Lord Krishna through music.

Round 3: Sri Krishna Tatva (Rapid Fire)

The final round was an exhilarating rapid-fire quiz, Sri Krishna Tatva, focusing on different aspects of Lord Krishna’s life. Participants were divided into three categories:

  • Sub Juniors (Grade III to V): explored the theme of Nanda Gopala (Krishna’s childhood),
  • Juniors (Grade VI and VII): reflected on Sri Krishna Leela (Krishna as a friend),
  • Seniors (Grade VIII to X): delved into Krishna Saramsam (Krishna as a Guru).
Each house selected four participants, who demonstrated their knowledge and quick thinking, earning applause from their peers.

The competition was judged by esteemed individuals: Miss Swetha Perni Naidu and Mrs. Vasantha for the sub-juniors; Sri Prayaga Raja Dasa for juniors; and Sri Kanaiha Kripa Dasa for seniors. The judges provided insights and motivated the students, inspiring them towards peace, divinity, and the profound teachings of Lord Krishna.

“Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum” was not just a competition but a celebration of spirituality, devotion, and the timeless lessons imparted by Lord Krishna. The event highlighted the talent of students while stimulating a deeper understanding of their cultural heritage.
