”Rain is grace: rain is, “the sky descending to the earth”; without rain there would be no life”.
The pre-primary students of Neo Geetanjali School were treated to a day of fun and learning as the school celebrated its annual Rainy Day event. The event, designed to engage the youngest learners with nature and the joys of the monsoon season, featured a variety of activities that left the children excited and happy.
The school grounds were transformed into a vibrant play area, with small pools, colourful umbrellas, and rain-themed decorations setting the scene. Teachers and staff ensured that the children experienced the magic of the rainy season in a safe and controlled environment.
Activities and Highlights:
- Rain Dance Party: Children donned raincoats and boots, dancing joyfully under artificial rain showers.
- Puddle Jumping: Specially designed puddles allowed the children to jump and splash around, experiencing the simple pleasures of playing in water. This activity was a hit, with children lining up for their turn to jump into the puddles.
- Story Time: Teachers narrated stories about the monsoon, sharing tales of raindrops, rainbows, and the adventures of various animal characters.
- Rainy Day Art and Craft: A creative corner was set up where children could make paper boats, paint rainbows, and create artwork inspired by the rainy season.
