Independence Day 2024 Celebrations

Neo Geetanjali School marked the 78th Independence Day with a grand celebration under the theme “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India). The event was held and showcased a series of patriotic performances and speeches, highlighting the spirit of independence and the vision of a developed nation.

The program commenced with a warm introduction by the event hosts, setting the tone for the day’s celebration. Following the introduction, the distinguished guests, including the Director, Principal, and Vice-Principal, were invited to initiate the proceedings.

The event formally began with the flag hoisting ceremony, led by the Director, Principal, and Vice-Principal. As the Tricolour soared high, the school choir, accompanied by a melodious keyboard background, performed the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with patriotic fervour.

The energy surged as the students participated in an impressive march past, showcasing their discipline and unity. The synchronized movements of the students were met with applause from the audience.

In the speeches segment, a teacher shared insights on the significance of Independence Day and the importance of the ‘Vikasit Bharat’ theme. This was followed by an inspiring address by the Principal, who emphasized the role of education in nation-building and urged students to contribute to the country’s development.

The cultural activities segment began with a stirring speech by a Grade IX student, reflecting on the sacrifices of freedom fighters and the responsibilities of the younger generation in achieving a developed India. This was followed by a series of captivating patriotic dance performances. Students from Grade VII and Grade VI displayed their talent with energetic and vibrant dances, each reflecting the rich cultural heritage of India.

A highlight of the event was the instrumental music performance, where a student played the special patriotic song “Teri Mitti,” evoking a sense of pride and devotion towards the nation. The cultural program continued with a speech by a Grade X student, who eloquently spoke about the progress of India has made since independence and the path ahead.

Adding to the festive spirit, the student of Grade IV (IRIS) had given a speech , which was met with great applaud from the audience.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants, organizers, and attendees for making the celebration a success. The students were then dispersed, with cake distributed as a sweet end to the day’s festivities.

The Independence Day celebration at Neo Geetanjali School was not just an event, but a reminder of the collective responsibility to contribute towards the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’.
