A Harvest of Happiness and Traditions.
On 13th September 2024, the pre-primary students of Neo Geetanjali School celebrated the vibrant festival of Onam with great enthusiasm and cultural fervor. The event, filled with traditional colors and joy, began with a beautiful floral rangoli (Pookalam) meticulously created by the teachers, symbolizing prosperity and harmony. The sight of the intricately designed floral patterns was a visual treat, capturing the essence of the harvest festival.
The celebrations were officially inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by Principal Mrs. Rama Devi Perni and Vice-Principal Supriya Sahoo, signifying the victory of light over darkness and the blessings of a bountiful harvest. This traditional gesture set the tone for the day’s festivities.
Rekha, the CCA in-charge, eloquently explained the significance of Onam, narrating the legend of King Mahabali and the spirit of unity and happiness that the festival brings. Her words resonated with the importance of preserving cultural traditions while celebrating the festival with joy and togetherness.

The highlight of the celebration was a mesmerizing regional dance performance by Mrs. Santhoshi, who captivated the audience with her graceful moves, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Kerala. Dressed in traditional attire, she transported everyone to the land of backwaters and lush greenery.
The celebration concluded with a joyful photo shoot, where the pre-primary students, dressed in traditional Kerala attire, posed with their teachers, capturing the memories of a delightful day filled with learning and fun.
