🕋 Bakrid (Eid al-Adha) – Festival of Sacrifice
Bakrid, also known as Eid al-Adha, is one of the most important Islamic festivals. It commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God.
- Celebrated approximately 70 days after Eid al-Fitr, during the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah.
- It coincides with the Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca.
